SAKURA PRO CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER
Lillith Morgan vs. Stacy DeVille
This match begins with a tense shaking of hands between Morgan and Deville. Despite their rivalry, there is an aura of respect between them both.
The match begins with a test of strength between both women. Deville quickly shoots out of the gate, dropping low on Morgan with a double legged takedown. She then goes for a floored gator roll, however, Morgan is able to quickly regain control and snuff that out. The next few sequences see Morgan and Deville chain wrestle themselves all around the ring, trading headlocks and hammerlocks for all for corners. The first big blow of the match is dealt with Stacy taking Morgan in a side headlock before falling back with a makeshift suplex.
The match continues on the ground once again. However, in the theme of back and forth in this match, Morgan wrestles herself on top of Deville and starts raining down stiff forearm strikes to Deville’s head. Stacy is eventually able to cover herself however not after taking a few good shots that leave her woozy. Morgan lays Deville out flat for a pin attempt, but Stacy is able to shoulder up at two.
Lillith slowly picks up Deville. he drives a few stiff knees into her opponent before whipping to the mat with a bulldog takedown. Morgan hits the ropes just as Stacy gets to a knee. The crowd oohs and winces being Stacy be on the receiving end of low but furious swinging neckbreaker. Moran smoothly transitions to hook the leg. However, Deville catches Lillith out of nowhere with a Fujiwara Armbreaker! One of Lillith’s moves!
Morgan struggles a bit around the ring. trying desperately to scramble to the ropes. She’s able to slide herself and Stacy back and drape her ankle right over the bottom rope, just as Stacy was beginning to crank down hard on the arm. Deville uses a three count before breaking the hold and rolling herself away from Lillith, creating some space. Morgan curses loudly as she gets to her feet shaking out her arm. Stacy then charges at Morgan. Lillith dips a shoulder to over-end Stacy and send her to the other side of the apron. Deville gracefully lands safely on the apron. However, she soon eats a stiff back elbow right to the mouth from Lillith. Morgan goes for another but Stacy ducks down under this one. As Lillith’s momentum turns her to face the outside of the ring, Deville shuffles back lightning fast before stepping into a FLUSH SUPERKICK that cracks Morgan right on the jaw!
The crowd is roaring as Lillith teeters around the ring. Stacey is catching her breath for the moment before she lines her self up against the ropes. She launches herself forward, springboarding off of the ropes right into A CAPTURE DDT FROM LILLITH! The Weeping Willow connects and Deville’s face eats nothing but canvas as the SAKURA crowd roars into a frenzy, violently slapping the padded guard rails in approval of this opening contest. It takes Lillith a few moments to come to her senses as she rolls over to hook the leg of Deville.
Stacy is able to kick out at the last possible second! Lillith looks mortified that Deville was able to fight through that amazing counter. Morgan looks around for a clue before her eyes settle on the corner turnbuckle… Slowly Morgan makes her way to the top. She keeps her back turned to Stacy as she looks for a moonsault. However, Deville kips back up and charges back into the fight. She quickly scurries up the turnbuckle right behind Morgan. Taking her back, Stacy tries to go for a german suplex off of the top rope! However, Morgan holds on to the ropes for dear life. Stacy is eventually able to beat and peel Morgan’s grip of the rope and throw her off of the turnbuckle. Morgan falls back into the ring, but is able to land a shoulder roll and makes it to a kneeling position. Unaware of her opponent’s quick recovery. Stacy springs back, she turns her body in mid air looking to connect with her flying knee strike… BUT SHE ABSOLUTELY EATS A SUPERKICK FROM MORGAN!
A ‘holy shit!’ chant takes over the SAKURA Pro crowd as Morgan damn near decapitated Stacy with that kick! The crowd is rumbling loudly as Morgan springs to her feet. She sarcastically pats herself on the back as the referee checks on Stacy who looks to be out cold. “IT’S OVER!” Morgan screams as she walks over to Deville, shoving the official aside. However, it all turns out to be a ploy as Stacy craftily locks in a surprise roll up onto Morgan. However, she doesn’t keep her down for the pin. Iinstead, Stacy uses the momentum to roll Morgan back to her knees from the move. Stacy kips up to her feet quickly and screams at the top of her lungs as she crashes her side recklessly into Morgan’s unprotected head with A CHARGING HIP ATTACK! Stacy rushes in to make the cover!
NO, MORGAN KICKS OUT!
Stacy keeps up her blitz, snatching Morgan up right after the kick out. She tries to bring her to her feet. However, Morgan has a counter of her own! She loads Stacy on her shoulder after hooking under her opponent’s legs. It’s the fireman carry! Morgan’s looking to connect with the cutter that would nail Stacy with THE QUEEN REIGNS SUPREME!..BUT NO! Stacy knee’s Morgan in the face repeatedly breaking herself free! She lands in the front with a hooked arm over Morgan’s neck before she follows up with A DEVILLE DRIVER! WHAT A COUNTER!
Stacy keeps the bridge as the official counts!
The gong rings three times successfully as the match has come to its end! The crowd gives a standing ovation even before Stacy and Morgan are able to recover and get to their feet. Both women eventually do reach a vertical base as Stacy’s theme hits over the Pier 70 venue’s sound system. There’s another tense stare down between Deville and Morgan. However the two shake hands once again, and Lillith rolls herself out of the ring. Stacy takes in the ovation and bows before the crowd, putting a cap on an exciting opening contest in tonight’s big show!
