Winning the silver medal made him realize he was past his prime as a top gymnast. However, still extremely capable in both mind and spirit, Jake feels he still has much to offer. He retired as a professional gymnast, and decided to seek glory elsewhere. Being extremely strong AND agile, wrestling seemed like a perfect fit.
Jake makes no secret about being a proud American. Having represented the stars and stripes at the Oympics, he sees himself as a representative of America, and will not hesitate to call it the greatest country in the world, whether his opponents or his fans agree with that or not.
